Texas Heart (2010) Feature-length documentary
Texas Heart follows world-renowned heart surgeons O. H. "Bud" Frazier and Billy Cohn as they research and design a new artificial heart. Within the operating rooms of the fabled Texas Heart Institute, these doctors reveal their fascinating field, an industry propelled forward by the hopes of man's triumph over nature, but plagued by the realities of history:  humanity's questionable motives for technological advancement. As Frazier, a Vietnam Vet, and Cohn, a Sci-Fi buff, work with their pioneering mentors, Michael Debakey and Denton Cooley, the famous feuding heart surgeons who started the field, their lives become intertwined with the larger forces pushing mankind into a post-human future.

Texas Heart has been selected for the 2009 IFP Independent filmmaker lab and will also be presented at the IFP Independent Film week September 19-24, 2009 in New York.
